The Percy
King en-suite on the first floor, private bath with original tub
A few steps above the garden and tucked behind a curtain of rhododendrons, the Percy feels like an unexpected hideaway. Named for our Dad’s beloved grandfather, who lived next door to him growing up in Michigan, the room carries a quiet tenderness.
Morning light spills through paned windows dressed in rosy Roman shades, reflecting off the gilt frames gathered like heirlooms along the walls. A King bed is layered in soft patterns. The wooden writing desk, hand-crafted at the turn of the 20th century, is made for letter writing with views of the apple trees, and invites you to embrace a slower pace of life. Throughout the room, sculpture and Scandinavian furniture add movement through texture and form.
