The Robert
King en-suite on the first floor, private bath with standing shower, double sink
Named for our dad and our grandfather, the Robert is the largest bedroom in the house, keeping a watchful eye over the property. The room feels both generous and deeply personal, with soft blue walls, a grand king bed, and a gallery of small prints, including pieces of our dad’s photography, and objects lovingly gathered over time. Bird figurines and pictures fill the room, connecting you with the countryside characters right outside. The room also features dad’s record player for soft songs of yesteryears. From the windows, you can watch the firepit flicker at dusk, and see the sun set behind the red, 18th-century barn — a view that feels almost painted.
